Patron Barbara Fowler
Founder of the SPINin in 1978, Barbara organised the first event to raise funds for major repairs to St Luke's Church roof. Not only did it pay for the roof, it became an ongoing event in its own right. As a result of her contribution, Barbara was awarded an OAM in 1992, for services to the Arts, particularly craft. She has seen the event grow from a one day event with twenty-eight spinners to a three day event, which many thousands of national and international visitors have attended.
